its much more then a hobby

Fishing isn’t just a hobby for me, and it never has been.

It consumes me in the best way possible. It always has. When I’m outside in a wild place with a rod in my hand, nothing else matters. And when I’m not outside with a rod in my hand, I’m thinking about it.

It’s easy to get caught up in life the finances, the success ladder, the endless list of things we’re supposed to do and accomplish. Before you know it, you’re overwhelmed.

For me, being in a wild place is presence. It’s adventure. It’s living in its purest and simplest form. And, honestly, I’m addicted to it. I need it. Monthly, weekly, even daily.

That’s why I chose this career path.

Or maybe it chose me.

It’s the only career that lets me be in a wild place every day, and I need that. I think more people need it. I want to show people that feeling the feeling of being completely present, completely alive, and connected to something bigger than yourself.

That’s what I want to do with All Days Off .

It’s much more than a social media platform or a social status. It’s a feeling that I feel so deeply and passionately that I want to share it with others. And through sharing it, I hope we can help conserve the wild places that give us that feeling in the first place.

I don’t think conserving wild places should be political. It should just be the standard.

I hope to show others that along the way, through All Days Off.

Until then, I’ll be fishing or doodling about it.
